Zot is a new seating configuration designed by Periluigi Molteni, manufactured with Firenzuola stone by Il Casone and with iron parts by De Castelli. Zot is a project that outlines the space defining its frontiers and limits. It is a sort of urban furniture/urban bench suited for a public space offering resting, waiting or meeting place. Due to iron elements this seating unit has a versatility of uses and possibilities. The shapes that form the frame of its elements have the ability to make the best use of the single stone block minimizing wastes. Zot was unveiled at the exhibition/event “From nest to shell: Designers, companies, cities: the stone used for urban furniture” organized by the magazine Ottagono at the SUN expo in Rimini from October 20th to October 22th 2011.
