PROFILO PROFESSIONALE
Tensa Industrial Design was established as a company in January 2005, from the union of the different
experiences of its two partners, Paolo Ramazzotti and Stefano Casartelli, who already in 2002 regularly
collaborated as professionals on dedicated projects for firms in various sectors.
The different educational training and work experiences allow Tensa Industrial Design to offer its services
with expertise in the development of new products, intervening on the design, with the search for new
concepts and forms, and on the technical planning, providing solutions and developing individual elements in
detail.
The design process is integrated, anticipating the macro problems tied to making the product and leading
the client to a “conscious” choice of the solutions, under both the formal and technological aspect and under
the aspect tied to investments.
Today, Tensa Industrial Design, which sees other collaborators side by side with its associates and continuous interaction with outside organisations, is able to offer knowledge and the capacity to integrate into its process: market and product positioning analyses, communication, virtual analysis (FEM, optical, etc.), creation of models and prototypes (for: presentation, verification, lab tests, etc.)
Paolo Ramazzotti (Bologna 1964) has a technical background with mechanical
studies at the Istituto Salesiano in Bologna. He began working in various types of firms and with more and more responsible jobs until entering the world of design tied to the automotive sector, where for 10 years he followed all phases of the development of such a complex product. At the end of this experience, he became a member of the team of one of the major industrial design studios in Milan, where he deals with the management and development of designs for leading Italian firms.
Stefano Casartelli (Como 1966) got his secondary school leaving certificate in Applied Arts and later received a diploma in Industrial Design at the IED (European Design Institute) in Milan.Following a training experience at a small Milanese studio, he first became a member of the team of one of the most important design studios in Milan, where for 6 years he developed designs for multinational firms, and then in one of the major industrial design studios, developing designs alongside technicians and clients.
