Gold Christmas with Bosa

Bosa celebrates Christmas 2016 with special objects created by craftsmanship experiments

In 1976 Italo Bosa began his own ceramic production, applying the ancient techniques for making objects entirely by hand, enhanced by a rich palette of colours, decorated with precious metals such as gold, platinum and copper, and enameled in the exclusive shades of colour created by the company. These precision techniques remain the foundation for Bosa’s production and ensure that Bosa’s objects remain unique, recognizable and of the finest quality.

What distinguishes Bosa, and makes it a leader in the field of designer ceramics in Italy and around the world, is its decision to make research and innovation the strong points of the company.

Thereby creating the know-how required to develop projects that seemed impossible because of the difficulty involved in making oversize objects and moulds, which highlight the special joy the founder takes in sharing the design processes with his mostly young and European designers, who experiment with new languages, and have helped to establish an upscale market position for the Bosa brand.

For Christmas 2016, Bosa emphasizes the magic of this time of year offering a fine selection of objects united by golden details, like Unicorno Ariete Toro by Sam Baron, Koni by Matteo Cibic, Unlock by CtrlZak, T-Table and Hopebird by Jaime Hayon, Sweet Souvenir by Constance Guisset, Sisters by Pepa Reverter, I Molossi by Elena Salmistraro, Lume by Alessandro Zambelli, Infinity Clock and Oh, baby, it’s a wild world by Nika Zupanc.

Ariete, Unicorno, Toro

The three pieces I designed are a fusion of mythology and personal memories where a bull becomes

a Minotaur, the ram is seen as a honoured sacrificed animal used to celebrate gods, or even in a

wilder way the horse becomes a fantastastical figure like the unicorn.

INFINITY CLOCK

Each pointer carries a loop and when they both meet things become charmingly complicated. Pointers and their loops form an intriguing visual structure that disintegrates before our own eyes the very next moment. But this clock has a soul of its own, even if an artificial one. Its swinging action reminds us that this moment is the only real one and the sole one worth living for.

KONI

Design Matteo Cibic

This small container is elegant and versatile. It is made up of stackable cylindrical elements and has a witty hat as a lid: suitable for holding jewellery items, favours, spices, perfumes and keepsakes.

Koni is available in ten colours with precious details in 24 karat gold.

LUME

Design Alessandro Zambelli

A small fragment of light is captured and projected from the golden satellite dish.

Reminiscent of bygone days, a spark of hope, a message of good will and a charm to guide us on our way.

I MOLOSSI

Design Elena Salmistraro

This modern take on the merry-go-round in which the traditional horses have been replaced by cute Molossian mastiffs: man's best friend thus becomes a symbolic guardian who accompanies us through life, together with the music that takes us back in time.

Oh, baby, it is a wild world

The doll flirts with the past and, through an unexpected design, she offers high emotion, casually

seasoned with nostalgia. She is an emotional container, a rock star, Batman, the gate keeper of the things you treasure the most, she is a wooden doll, a cat, a bringer of doubts, she is an ultimate emotional extravaganza.

SISTERS

Design Pepa Reverter

Sisters collection consists of five sculptures vases made of white ceramic. The five pieces are available in different finishes, all of them are made and painted by hand. The design of this elegant and tender collection comes from the hand of the artist Pepa Reverter, who says of these pieces that they are a tribute to women of all cultures and all times. They have been designed in Barcelona and this is what brings them a cosmopolitan and a Mediterranean point of view towards life.

Their names are Louise, Frida, Sofia, Helen and Clara, they are sisters. Imaginative, happy and caring. They like the beauty of fair and open spaces, where their heads full of harmony and creativity can transmit light.

A collection of vases that pays tribute to women of all cultures and all times.

Launched in 2015, the romantic version of Clara with a heart and available in colors bright red and white satin finish with precious metals.

SWEET SOUVENIR

Design Constance Guisset

A magic box: the lid conceals a container for sending secret messages or hiding small objects.

The unusual fluid and "sculptured" effect of the lid suggests the passing of time and takes us back to the sweetness of our most special moments.

T-Table special edition
