Alexe Popescu

	Dopo aver conseguito la laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica presso la Polytechnical University e poi in Design a Bucharest, dal 2007 Alexe Popescu inizia il suo percorso di product designer e intraprende una carriera brillante, spaziando su numerose aree legate al design. Il concetto che sta alla base dei suoi prodotti può essere riassunto secondo la seguente equazione: “1 prodotto = 1 materiale + 1 procedura”. Alexe Popescu started a colorful career after his studies, moving between various design areas. He graduated first at Polytechnical University from Mechanical Engineering and then at University of Arts from Design Department in Bucharest. The product design journey began in 2007. The concept behind the realization of his products can be summed up following this equation: “1 product = 1 material + 1 procedure”.

Grafica chair

Sedia, Chair Grafica chair è costituita da un foglio in compensato di betulla senza parti visibili in metallo. Il “tratteggio” della superficie lo rende unico e la fessura dello schienale fa disegnare la sedia con un’unica mano. Grafica chair is made using a single sheet of birch plywood, and the chair has no visible metal parts. The “linear hatching” of the surface comes in a unique way. The slot on the back allows drawing the chair with only one hand.
Cookie table

Tavolo, Table Cookie table è un tavolo da bistrot in compensato di betulla. L’andamento diagonale delle gambe ne aumentano la stabilità, mentre le giunture a “denti” decorano la parte superiore. Lo strato inferiore fornisce una solida presa. Cookie table is a birch plywood bistro table with diagonal legs to increase stability. The robust “teeth” joint decorates the table top. The lower sheet is cut in order to reduce weight and to provide a hand grip underneath.
