Biography:

Sparxliving was founded in 2015 by Koot Engel to shape his own design ideas. In the recent years, Koot as an industrial designer has received more than 7 international prices developing products for the industry. In 2013 he started developing products for the consumer market. The result is the Sparxliving garden furniture and outdoor fireplaces. The outdoor fireplaces received a GIO in 2014 (Good Industrial Design award) and a GIO nomination in 2017. His steel designs are easy recognizable, minimalistic in materials used and waist, minimalistic in production processes, maximum in efficiency and durability. Always looking for the highest quality and details. Back to the bases and thinking beyond the customer needs. Koot is also a Dutch believer, all its products are produced in the Netherlands. Inspiration and happiness he gets from always playing and optimizing the result. This lead in 2011 to the “Rail Innovation Award” where the design comment was “The long road to simplicity”. Sparx Living is based in Venlo - the Netherlands.

The nice thing about this garden set is that you do not feel that you are sitting at a 6-seater table. With 2 or 3 people, the table feels intimate. But you can easily eat with 6 adults. So you have a table that takes up little space and easily seats 6! The galvanized frames with concrete blades and seats gives the garden set an industrial look, but the wooden versions gives the whole a warm look and feeling.
