Everything is more than the sum of the single parts" is the maximum par excellence of Gestalt psychology. In fact one of the cornerstones of this current of thought is that everything is different from the sum of the individual parts. Starting from this assumption, more than a product I wanted to develop a method design. The individual parts are composed of different materials used (stones, marbles, woods, resins, metals), from the shapes and finishes that they can take. Taking inspiration from the graphic works of M. Morandini, F. Grignani and M. C. Escher, I developed patterns composed of geometric shapes that, seen in their entirety, they can take three-dimensional shapes.

Q_BHO

Wood is a material that is always alive, it does not need dyes or particular processes to be "beautiful". In its simplicity it knows how to be unique and particular, and from this simplicity that the lamp Q_BHO is born, a cube of solid wood with a spherical lamp in a game between veins and light.
