Progettista alla ricerca costante della leggerezza, della semplicità, della relazione onesta tra idea e progetto, per giungere all’equilibrio tra forma e funzione. Attento osservatore dei comportamenti delle persone, dei loro gesti quotidiani, reinterpreta le loro esigenze e abitudini cercando sempre di superare se stesso in ogni progetto.
“Always running against myself”: architect, designer, runner. Maurizio Bernabei is a designer constantly searching for lightness, simplicity and an effective relationship between idea and project. His major aim is to achieve a balance between form and function. Keen observer of people’s behavior, their daily gestures, he reinterprets their needs and habits always trying to outdo himself in every project he carries out.

Libreria, Bookcase
Una libreria modulare, pensata per un utilizzo dinamico e informale. È costituita da due elementi strutturali a forma di “A” e da un sistema di mensole che si inseriscono ad incastro su di esse a differenti altezze.
AA is a modular library, designed for dynamic and informal use. It consists of two structural elements with the shape of A, and a system of shelves that fit interlocking on them at different heights.

Divano, Sofa
Una collezione di arredi per il contract, nata dall’osservazione e interpretazione dei comportamenti che assumiamo nelle sale d’attesa. La seduta è un “palcoscenico” neutro sul quale possiamo sostare durante l’attesa.
#waitingfor is a collection of furniture for contract, born from the observation and interpretation of behavior we usually have in the waiting rooms. The seat is a neutral “stage”, where we can stop during the time of waiting.
