Emanuele Spano.Designer, 1978. His background was born and developed with two very creative experiences: the FORMA (International Center of Photography) and NABA (New Fine Arts Academy in Milan). Meanwhile a reportage in Africa and United States and a brief experience in Spain and Switzerland. To describe at what he excels or he is able to do, it would take a hard disk bigger than Nasa. Emanuele Spano is a visual designer, photographer, interior designer and much more. With the architect Yona Friedman, he realizes for MART in Rovereto a “house/installation� of origami. In his entourage important names appear such a Peter Gehrke or Eikoh Hosoe. Moreover he was an official assistant photographer for famous advertising campaigns such as Armani, Yamamay, Richmond. He won several national and international awards. His work appear in the most prestigious and influential publications in the world of photography and design. He has added its brand to those of prestigious companies in the world of sport. Since 2008, his irrepressible desire to manipolate and create new forms of artistic expression led him to create “I am Where I Live� in Muro Leccese, in the heart of Salento, near Lecce. A concept of bio/compatibility between art and life, that is a bio/space evolving into pure functionality, comfort and beauty. A modern, eco – friendly building made entirely of natural stone and Biocalce, inspired by the model of the Saracen Tower, crucial piece of mediterranean architectural identity. Emanuele has toured the world extensively. But the turning point of his thirty years, he rises to his biggest challenge in Italy. At his home, five thousand inhabitants and a town full of Baroque and Renaissance traces. “I am Where I Live� is thus a way of life for him, as well as a project of biocompatibility: a smart and powerful house/shop, a space of aggregation for creatives, artists and architects.
