Shinya Ito & Kaori Yamamoto breaks tradition
A design project which tries to overpass the limits of design
Shinya Ito & Kaori Yamamoto is a design project that breaks with tradition, trying to overpass the limits in which design is defined. In particular, they try to overcome every hypothetic barrier by making it possible restraint to freely express design as it is originally conceived.

Bloom is a simple pendant light that is inspired by the little flower coming into bloom seen by the designers during while traveling. The translucent PMMA coated with a thin mirror creates a beautiful contrast between the transmitted light and the reflected light. It is made by assembling eight elements resembling light petals.

Milk Crown Mirror is a three-dimensional mirror that represents things in a very unusual way.

This mirror reflects scenery gently and creates interior like they were decorated with a work of art.

Being made of acrylic mirror material, it is very light, hard to be broken and easy to handle.

Shower Light is a light product representing the image of water falling from the shower. It illuminates by spreading a diffused thank to the acrylic plate and to the optical fibre from dazzling light of the LED.

These elements, not only plays a very important role from the functional perspective, but they also give shape to the lamp also providing for the physical structure.
